The VCC Spring Congregational Meeting was held on Sunday 21 May 2017 at the VCC meeting Point, immediately following the Sunday worship service. The primary purpose of this meeting was the election of the new VCC Board 2017-2018. The new Board was elected unanimously. A list with photographs will be published in a later version of the VCC Voice. The new Moderator is George Philip.
“I must thank Mary for the wonderful job she has done as moderator over the last three years, said George Philip. I am pleased that she has consented to work on the new Board as clerk and we can continue to draw on her experience. I also thank all the members of the old Board for their valuable contributions, and the members of the new Board for accepting to serve the VCC. I thank Pastor Gabor for his continued spiritual guidance.
As many of you probably know, I am not a newcomer to the VCC Board. I have served as Treasurer and Vice Moderator.
At a special congregational meeting earlier this year, Pastor Gabor had presented his ideas on making the work of the Committees more effective and more spiritually oriented by combining these into working groups. We plan to implement these ideas over the coming months. This, of course, will need the active participation of all VCC members and friends.
Finally, as Mary had mentioned in her last report, we are indeed grateful to the AFCU for their fund raising efforts, support and prayers over the years.”
