The Fall board meeting of the AFCU was held on October 14th in Minneapolis, MN at the SpringHill Suites hotel. Meeting logistics were coordinated by Margit Coltvet. A major topic of this meeting was the acceptance and signing of two contract documents covering the relationship between these organizations and the non-religious use of the American Church in Paris by the AFCU, the ACP and the FAACP.

In addition to board members, the meeting was attended by representatives from the ACP, the VCC as well as member spouses.
Members of the AFCU Board
The ACP presented a proposal to put a wheel-chair accessible lift on the right side of the outside stairs (toward reception). The changes have an impact on the basement level and the street level. The elevator shaft will be expandable to the courtyard level in the future. Graphic renderings of the current view of the front of the church and the view with the elevator added to the front of the church. The plans are reversible if there are any issues with the design after it is implemented. The access is locked down and secure when not in use.
Development Committee Meeting
Two major topics were discussed in the Development meeting. In the first Gregg Foster reviewed the current status of the new web site for the AFCU. The content of this site depends on the input from the church members as well as AFCU members. The site is available for Beta testing. AFCU members and the churches are asked to provide feedback to Gregg by the end of October. The website is expected to be available to the public in November.
